Kanangra Heights Wedding by Madelyn Holmes, Yeppoon

natasha_michael_002natasha_michael_010natasha_michael_011Tell us your love story!
Michael and I became good friends in grade 9. In class, he always managed to make me laugh and I was impressed with his intelligence and caring nature. Unfortunately, nothing ever eventuated between us in high school (mostly due to the fact that I was about 30cm taller than Michael back then…luckily he went through a late growth spurt though!) Many years later, I kept bumping into Michael at nightclubs, parties, festivals and grocery stores. I told my housemate that I had a crush on him and we devised a plan to have a party and to make sure he was invited. Luckily he came to the party and the rest is history!

Marriage for us is eternal. It’s about being there for each other, supporting, loving and trusting each other whole heartedly. It is about constantly re-inventing our love for one another by keeping things fun and exciting whilst also challenging one another and overcoming the tough times together. Marriage is about understanding that there will be fights and arguments, and that your relationship requires patience, understanding, communication and an undying trust. It is about waking up to one another every day and knowing that you are building your future, your life and a family with your best friend.

We went for a very colourful, vintage and rustic theme for our special day.
A favourite moment of the day:
When we were announced at our reception, we had coordinated a hilarious dance to enter into the reception room. We danced to a medley of our favourite songs. Everyone was so surprised when it happened. It was a lot of fun and helped to get everyone in the mood to party!
Another personal favourite moment was seeing each other at the ceremony for the first time. Nothing can explain that overwhelming feeling of love and excitement! Nothing beats it!

We were so blessed to have Madelyn Holmes as our photographer. From the very first email reply that we received from her, we knew she was going to be the creative, professional and talented photographer that we had been looking for! She was so professional and so organised from the very start. We trusted her whole heartedly to get some magnificent photos on the day… and that she did! Maddy even went to the venue a couple of days beforehand to check out possible backgrounds and locations for our bridal party photos.

A piece of advice for people planning their wedding:
Whatever you do, make sure you either pay someone to organise the pack down of your wedding or organise for close family members to do it for you. The last thing you feel like doing after your perfect day is spending hours packing up!

Ethereal Style Shoot – Amonie Ring Boxes

She is an ordinary girl, but today the world slows down as the elements she has carefully chosen transform her into a bride. This is her rite of passage, a long-held tradition where moments are about to be created that will forever be revisited.

This shoot was created by a talented team of suppliers from the Central Queensland region who collaboratively worked to capture the anticipation and reflectiveness experienced by a bride throughout the morning of her wedding. The ethereal feel of the venue and White Lily Couture gown were captured entirely on film by White Ash Photography and recorded by Fox & Fire filmmakers. Without being overshadowed by styling, focus was given to the quiet moments and beautiful details that turn an ordinary girl into a bride – pieces such as the Amonie ring box that will be an heirloom to treasure for years to come.
